Sai Life Sciences Sustainability Report - 2023-24

100 Role dependent flexi-work policy : To support our employees’ work-life balance and reduce travel stress, we are offering the option of working from home for a maximum of 2 days a week, with prior approval from the head of department. We conduct various employee engagement programs at all our locations, including festival celebrations, health programs, sports events, drawing and cooking competitions, and special day celebrations to promote camaraderie among employees. We also organize health and wellness programs such as Zumba fitness sessions and yoga events to support mental health. Employees at all our locations have access to healthy diet options in our canteens. Our leave policy is designed to help employees balance their work and family commitments. Female employees are entitled to 26 weeks (182 calendar days) of maternity leave for the first two childbirths, while male employees are granted 5 days of paternity leave. Additionally, we offer marriage leave and bereavement leave as per our policy. Moreover, we provide a crèche facility at our sites for the convenience of working parents. Work Life Balance Power of employee engagement and talent development in enhancing retention We successfully brought down FY24 employee attrition in our manufacturing unit by 22% compared to FY23 through proactive measures to support employee retention. Given the remote location of our production facility, we have put in place vital measures to ensure our employees feel settled and supported in their well-being. These include providing transport for leisure activities, entertainment options, and exclusive privileges and discounts for shopping and dining. Additionally, we have rigorously trained our managers on work allocation, effective communication, motivation, time management, and team leadership to ensure a positive work environment.
