Sai Life Sciences Sustainability Report - 2023-24

111 At Sai, training and development are vital components of our safety culture building efforts. In the lifecycle of the employee and the worker, training is suitably positioned starting from induction up to job specific training. The key areas of training are drawn from training need analysis and from CAPAs related to incident investigation. As part of our Gurukul-LMS system we have developed audio visual videos on basic safety topics. In this training, modules are developed for production operations, process equipment hazards and best practices. HSE Training Focus areas of safety training Induction training for contractor worker This is a significant step and the topics are chosen to highlight key focus areas of daily work for contractor workers. HSE training modules in local languages cover workplace safety Do’s & Don’ts in pictorial form which enable workmen to understand work related hazards better. Contractors receive a training needs assessment form listing their training, and the HSE team ensures they are trained on the listed topics. Job Specific Training for contractor worker After HSE induction training, the concerned HOD is responsible to arrange training on following subjects for all the personnel before starting the work in the plant. The contract employees are allowed to work only after they undergo both HSE induction and Job specific training. • Specific hazards related to the work area • Precautions to overcome these hazards • Location, interpretation of alarms Trainings FY 24 Number of HSE trainings for Employees 133 Number of HSE trainings for Contractors 170 % Employees trained 100 % Contractors trained 100 Bidar • LOTO • Nitrogen Hazards • Electrostatic Hazards • PPE Usage • Incident investigation • 200+ people trained Bollaram • Electrostatic Hazards and controls • Drum and Gas cylinder handling • Fire fighting • 50+ people trained
