114 Inspection & Audit We ensure that our safety systems are working with a strong lever of internal inspection enabled through HSE tours and self-inspection. The HSE team conducts independent inspection of all areas of the plant at fortnightly basis and communicates the observations to Manufacturing Head, Functional Heads, Corporate HSE Head and COO to ensure the safety of both equipment and workforce. We believe that measuring progress is crucial for achieving goals, and self-assessment is a key step in addressing any shortcomings through a systematic approach. We rolled out a process for self-inspection aimed at sustained performance of area upkeep in all respects. It is essential for our teams to understand the non-negotiable requirements w.r.t. ways of working. A planned and systematic examination of a workplace by area owner to monitor safety and compliance, the effectiveness of established standards, and to allow for improvement and corrective measures wherever required. With the same ethos, we have launched a self-inspection process for critical equipment to proactively identify and address hazards. The inspection is carried out by operating personnel and when the equipment is in operating condition. For contractor safety performance, the HSE team carries out daily surveillance visits. We have a process of issuing deviation tickets and sharing with SCM and functional heads. The performance is factored while taking decisions during periodical renewal process by SCM.
