75 EPR authorization As an importer under the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework mandated by the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016, we take our responsibility to manage plastic packaging waste seriously. We have made significant efforts in managing HDPE carboys and liners, at two of our sites. Through responsible disposal to authorized recyclers, we have achieved a commendable 50% progress towards our target for the fiscal year. Our unwavering commitment lies in achieving 100% phase-out of this waste category, fully complying with the EPR regulations. Single Use Plastic We have successfully phased out six categories of single-use plastics (SUPs) from our operations. These include safety barricading tapes, plastic cutlery, paper teacups, plastic carry bags, PVC banners, and water PET bottles. we have taken a significant step towards minimizing plastic waste and conserving resources by eliminating these SUPs from our operations. We are working on to phase out wrapping plastic film used in packaging of finished goods. Biodiversity Recognizing the critical role biodiversity plays in ecosystem health and human well-being, we have commenced integrating biodiversity considerations into our business operations. We are committed to understanding and mitigating our impact on local ecosystems while contributing to their conservation. Being aware of our operational footprint and its interaction with surrounding biodiversity, we have identified key areas for improvement. This knowledge forms the foundation for developing a biodiversity program, allowing us to measure and manage our environmental impact effectively. None of the manufacturing sites are in close vicinity to any protected areas and areas of high biodiversity value outside protected areas. None of the IUCN Red List species and national conservation list species with habitats in areas are reported or affected by our operations. Supplier environmental assessment Assessing supplier impacts on people and environment is a very key aspect of our Supplier code of conduct. We regularly assess our suppliers on their environmental impacts and have a mechanism of communication on environmental imapcts and request for improvement. As a part of our commitment to supply chain sustainability, we have been engaging more closely with our upstream and downstream value chain partners.
