Sai Life Sciences contributed a case study to the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Good Practice Guide: Technology Transfer (3rd Edition, 2018), highlighting a structured approach to transferring a late-phase API from development to commercial manufacturing. The study demonstrated how early engineering involvement, cross-functional collaboration, and risk-based assessments significantly reduced scale-up variability and transfer timelines.

By integrating pilot-scale validation with data-driven modeling and structured documentation, the project minimized deviations during commercial startup. The case illustrated the importance of aligning process understanding, equipment capability, and quality systems before execution. The outcome was a first-time-right transfer, improved cycle efficiency, and enhanced regulatory confidence—underscoring our disciplined, engineering-led approach to technology transfer.
