Deepening customer partnerships through FTE models
14 Aug 2026
Sai Life Sciences is seeing increasing opportunities to deepen and expand customer relationships through dedicated Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) engagement models, with partnerships extending across multiple stages of the drug development lifecycle.
These longer-term engagements are contributing to a broader pipeline of opportunities, including molecules originating with biotech companies supported by Sai Life Sciences that are subsequently acquired by pharmaceutical companies, programs transferred following acquisitions, and molecules from existing FTE relationships that progress into later stages of development.
The company is also seeing customers expand their engagement into a broader range of technologies and increasingly complex development programs. This is driving demand for capabilities across multiple modalities and strengthening the opportunity to support customers as programs progress from early discovery through development and commercialization. To support this growth, Sai Life Sciences is expanding its R&D infrastructure in Hyderabad’s Genome Valley. The first facility at its new Unit VIII site, a 100,000 sq. ft. R&D facility, is now operational, bringing expanded medicinal chemistry and CMC capabilities together with advanced laboratory and analytical infrastructure. The facility adds capacity to support integrated drug discovery and development programs and forms the first phase of a multi-year investment at the site.
